Warranty Information
What you need to know and what you need to do!
Firstly please note:
1. Warranty issues should be put in writing, either by email, Fax or Post. This is to ensure that there is a written record of all claims. We cannot process any warranty claims without a claim form being completed. We cannot discuss any warranty issues on the telephone without first receiving a fully completed claim form.
2. If your Boat was purchased New then it is covered for at least 12 months against all defects by the boat manufacturer.
3. If your Boat was purchased pre-owned, then the Warranty will normally be for 3 months ( unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase ) and covers the Engine and Drive against mechanical failure. The warranty on a pre-owned Boat does not cover any Electrical or Navigation items. The cover starts from the date of your invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. If your Boat was purchased from us on Brokerage, then no warranty will apply.
5. Warranty does not cover serviceable items or wearing parts, i.e. filters, belts, propellors, prop shafts, etc.
6. If the defect is found to be due to operator fault, then you will be subject to parts and labour charge.
7. All warranty work must be authorised and instructed by Shaddow Marine Ltd before any work is commenced. Shaddow Marine Ltd will not pay any unauthorised charges.
8. It is the customers responsibility to ensure that they understand the terms and conditions of the warranty before completing the purchase.
